Weekend Review

I had a chance to play golf on Friday for the first time this year. I didn’t play very well, but I guess I can’t expect much after not being on the turf in forever! It was quite an adventure rolling around in the little cart and trying to beat everyone from church in a game with a little white ball and some clubs. I absolutely stunk at driving the ball down the course, I ended up using a putter so I could get a better wack at it! During lunch we sat under a big oak tree and had a small bible study while we ate our sandwiches. Some of the youth were not to enthused by doing this outside of church, but I think it was good for them. Any chance we get to teach the young ones about the bible and how to study it, is time well spent. In the photo you can see how close I got on a 2 par hole. I barely missed it. I wish you could blow on the ball to get it to go in the hole. There is no way that ball could have just stopped right there! I tapped it with the putter and missed par, that was the most undelightful shot I had made all day. Next time I will try to hit the ball a little harder, if there is a next time!
